For example, if you advertise your home for $302,000, you’ll miss out on all the possible buyers seeking homes under $300,000. If asking for an extra $2,000 means fewer buyers will see the house, it’s probably not worth it.

Getting to know your buyer is a big part of the real estate sales success equation. The greater your ability to connect with the buyer, the more likely they are to conduct business with you. In this sense, real estate is similar to any other company. People who they like and trust are more inclined to do business with them.

Build trust with your potential buyer by promising to do something for them that they can’t do for themselves. You can offer a discount if they buy your home within 30 days. You can also volunteer to babysit their children while they visit it. Offer them something that will benefit them but that no one else is willing to give.
